What to expect
What HAPPENS DURING A SERVICE
Every church is different in what they do when they gather. At Brimbank Presbyterian Church we place an emphasis on the Bible and engaging with God. You are invited to participate as much as you would like.
A typical church service has the following:
Readings from the Bible
A time of teaching from the Bible
Prayer to God for each other, the community and the world
Morning tea is served after the formal part of the service
As a family of believers, we seek to include children by having children's songs and activity sheets.
We also offer creche for pre-school children.
What to wear
Some people at our church like to dress up a bit for Sunday while others dress pretty casually. Wear what makes you feel comfortable.
LORD's supper & lunches
We share in the Lord's Supper (or Communion) once a month, usually on the third Sunday. Given that it is about union with Jesus and union with his people, we expect that people be a member in good standing of our church or another church.
On these Sundays we share in a meal together after the service. Everyone is welcome to join us in this time of fellowship.
You won't be asked for money
It is our privilege and joy to have you with us for a church service. We do not ask you to pay to hear the message of the freedom that Jesus brings!
